ABOUT MEHello! My name is Julia Blue Arm and I am on my way to becoming a visual arts educator. I have a strong passion for education and the exploration of the arts. I love to see students explore materials and problem solve through the art-making process to express themselves.
I grew up in rural South Dakota and moved to Colorado to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Art Education at Colorado State University. At CSU, I have gained professional experience in peer mentoring roles for the Native American Cultural Center, facilitated groups of freshmen in their transition to college while working for TRIO Student Support Services, and acted as the student curator for a contemporary Native American art gallery. I have been working with kids since 2016; I love to help them learn and see their knowledge grow. In my free time, I make pottery, explore the outdoors, and study the German language. |
"It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge."
- Albert Einstein |
My Mission
My mission is to bring positivity and an excitement for learning into an inclusive, culturally responsive classroom environment. While focusing on multiculturalism, I aim to teach students in a way that fosters individuality, self-expression, and life-long learning.
